Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification:
Associate Professor(Chemical Engineering/Petrochemical Engineering)
- Minimum Qualifications:
Full-time First-class BE.B. Tech, ME/M.Tech and PhD in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
Post PhD Publications and guiding PhD students is highly desirable. - Experience:
Minimum 5-year experience in teaching and /or research and /or industry of which at least.
2 years of post-PhD experience in desirables
Assistant Professor(Chemical Engineering /Petrochemical Engineering)
- Minimum Qualifications:
Full time First class BE/B. Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant discipline from a recognized University. - Experience:
At least 2 year post qualification experience in the relevant discipline.
OR
Full time First Class BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant discipline from a recognized University, and; Ph.D. in the relevant Discipline
Assistant Placement Consultant
- Minimum Qualifications:
Full Time graduate in ant discipline with two years experience in the relevant area.
OR
M.B.A. (HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area
Remuneration range :
- Associate Professor(Chemical Engineering/Petrochemical Engineering): Rs.46,400 /- pm (AICTE basic pay Rs.37,400/- + AGP Rs.9000/-)
- Assistant Professor(Chemical Engineering /Petrochemical Engineering): Rs.35,000 /- to Rs.40,000 /- pm
- Assistant Placement Consultant: Rs.35,000 /- pm (Consolidated Pay)
