Job Title: Civil Engineering Faculty– Polytechnic College

Location: Palakkad,Kerala & Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh

Job Summary:

Aries Polytechnic College is seeking a qualified and committed Civil Engineering Faculty member to deliver high-quality technical education to diploma students. The faculty will be responsible for effective classroom instruction, practical training, student mentoring, and academic support, while adhering to AICTE/State Board norms and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures and conduct practical/lab sessions for Diploma Civil Engineering students.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and laboratory manuals as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Guide students in projects, industrial training, and site-related learning activities.
• Evaluate student performance through internal assessments, exams, and assignments.
• Maintain academic records, attendance, and lab equipment registers.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic planning.
• Support accreditation, inspections, and compliance with AICTE/Board of Technical Education requirements.
• Mentor students for academic progress, discipline, and career guidance.
• Engage in institutional activities, workshops, seminars, and faculty development programs.

Qualification & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
  
  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience:
  
  • Freshers with strong subject knowledge may apply.
  • Teaching experience in Polytechnic/Diploma colleges will be an added advantage.
  • Industry experience in civil construction, site execution, or consultancy is desirable.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of core Civil Engineering subjects such as Structural Engineering, Surveying, Construction Planning, Geotechnical Engineering, and Transportation Engineering.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diploma-level students.
• Practical exposure to site work, drawings, and estimation is preferred.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and basic civil software is an added advantage.
• Student-focused approach with mentoring and counseling abilities.
• Commitment to academic discipline, teamwork, and institutional growth.Pay Scale: As per AICTE norms and Institutional policies
