Appointment of Vice-Chancellor
The Search Committee invites applications for the post of Vice Chancellor, Jeppiaar University (A State Private University) recognized by UGC.
Vice Chancellor being the academic as well as administrative head is expected to be:
- A visionary with proven leadership qualities, administrative capabilities as well as teaching and research credentials.
- Having an outstanding academic record with a Ph.D. in any Science background and
minimum of 10 years of experience as a Professor in a University system or in an equivalent position in a reputed applied research and/or academic administrative organization. - Having administrative experience in the field of Higher Education not below the rank of Head of national /International Institution.
- Experience in the fields of skill Development and applied research.
- Experience of Working with international bodies in the field of higher education and should
have good knowledge in strategic relationships and collaborations with industry. - Candidates with experience as Vice Chancellor will be preferred but not compulsory.
Procedure of appointment:
- Appointment will be made from a panel of names recommended by the selection Committee.
- Candidates above 55 Years of age are eligible to apply and age would not be a limiting
factor for exemplary candidates.
