Job Title: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor

Salary: As per 7^th Pay Commission recommendations.

Qualification: PhD (CSE/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering), M.Tech, and B.Tech in relevant disciplines from a reputed institute, either in India or abroad. The candidate should have a proven track record of research in robotics, artificial intelligence, mechanical design, and/or any allied domain.

Skills Required

• Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Python, C, C++, MATLAB/Simulink
• Robot programming, Control architecture
• Sensor integration, Exposure to open source and commercial robot simulation platforms
• Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis, CAD/FEA software
• AI/ML Algorithms, tools and platforms

Experience: Candidates should preferably have experience or exposure to research in the following areas:

• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Data Science
• Robotic System Development and Programming Architecture, ROS
• Design, Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines
• Machine vision, SLAM, Vision based control

Job Description

• Teaching and mentoring students in undergraduate and graduate programs
• Mentoring the students for competitions, projects and other technical activities
• Collaborating with academia and industry on research projects
• Conducting research in the field of Robotics/Artificial Intelligence/ or related Multidisciplinary domain
• Publishing research findings in Journals of high repute and conferences
• Engage in departmental, institute and university activities
• Taking initiatives to contribute to the academic and research communities

Essential Attributes/Requirements of a Candidate

1. A demonstrated passion for research, project execution, and product development with a focus on commercial or social applications, along with some teaching experience.
2. Strong inclination towards time-bound consultancy assignments and securing funded projects.
3. Proven record of publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals, with an interest in authoring books or contributing to book chapters.
4. Research focus on addressing societal, national, and environmental challenges.
5. Excellent communication skills, combined with extensive knowledge across domains.
6. Interest in interdisciplinary and collaborative research initiatives.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and establish rapport with students.
8. Willingness to relocate to Chennai or nearby locations for work.
9. A sense of pride in India’s rich culture and ancient heritage.
