PhD Admissions under “Visvesvaraya PhD scheme for Electronics and IT: Phase-II” Sponsored by Digital India Corporation, MeitY, Govt. of India

Department: Electronics and Communication Engineering

Qualification:

1. Candidates with two-year Postgraduate in Engineering / Science/ Technology in ECE / EE / IT / EI or an allied area having 60% or 6.5 CGPA throughout his/her academic career. Candidates with B.E./ B. Tech. with an aggregate of 75% marks and First Class or equivalent CGPA and First Class with valid GATE score will also be eligible.
2. MSc/MCA candidates with ECE / EE / IT / EI/CSE specialization are also allowed. In such cases   GATE / NET qualified candidates are eligible to avail the scholarship.
3. Preference shall be given to GATE / NET qualified candidates.
4. Final Year Students of the above-mentioned disciplines can also apply, joining date of such candidates if selected can be relaxed till 1^st July 2026.

Job Location: Meghalaya

Salary:

1. Monthly scholarship of Rs. 38,750/- for first two years and Rs. 43,750/- for rest 3 years (support up to 5 years).
2. Rent reimbursement up to 8% of scholarship amount paid.
3. Research Contingency Grant 1,20,000/- per year.
