Organization Profile: The Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) was established on 12th June 1964 at Hyderabad. The University was formally inaugurated on 20th March 1965 by Late Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri, the then Hon`ble Prime Minister of India. Another significant milestone was the inauguration of the building programme of the university by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Hon`ble Prime Minister of India on 23rd June 1966. The University was renamed as Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University on 7th November 1996 in honour and memory of an outstanding parliamentarian Acharya Nayakulu Gogineni Ranga, who rendered remarkable selfless service for the cause of farmers and is regarded as an outstanding educationist, kisan leader and freedom fighter.

Qualifications:

  • Teaching Associates
    • Ph, D in relevant subject
      OR
      Master’s degree in relevant subject with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having first division or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 3 years of respective teaching/research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Traini ng/Other engagements. Published one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (>=4.0) Journal. Candidates having Post-Graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification. All the Relevant degrees should be completed in the ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges only.
  • Teaching Assistants
    • B.Sc (Ag)/B.Tech (Ag.Engg) degree of four years from ICAR accredited Universities/ Colleges only.

Job Location: Guntur, Andhra Pradesh

Duration of the post: The individuals are engaged purely on temporary and contractual basis which will be terminated after completion of 11 months, and the incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment or any further continuation of contractual service.

Salary:

  • Teaching Associates
    • Rs. 67,000/- per month plus applicable HRA*
      (For Ph. D holders)
    • Rs. 61,000/- per month plus applicable HRA*
      (for Master Degree holders)
    • HRA will be given as per the existing state Govt. Rates applicable in various places/
      locations.
  • Teaching Assistants
    • Rs.35,000/- consolidated pay per month
