Organization Profile: The Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) was established on 12th June 1964 at Hyderabad. The University was formally inaugurated on 20th March 1965 by Late Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri, the then Hon`ble Prime Minister of India. Another significant milestone was the inauguration of the building programme of the university by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Hon`ble Prime Minister of India on 23rd June 1966. The University was renamed as Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University on 7th November 1996 in honour and memory of an outstanding parliamentarian Acharya Nayakulu Gogineni Ranga, who rendered remarkable selfless service for the cause of farmers and is regarded as an outstanding educationist, kisan leader, and freedom fighter.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Horticulture/ Agriculture of 4 years duration and having secured first division.
- A Masters degree in the subject of Horticulture with atleast 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with atleast 3 years of Research and teaching experience as evidence from fellowship/ Training/ other engagements and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) NAAS rated (> 4.0) Jiurnal as per OMSr/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST Dated 30.01.2019.
Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
Duration: 11 months from date of joining or until regular post is filled up whichever is earlier.
