Essential Qualifications:
The candidates must be superannuated scientists, engineers, professionals and managers/executives. The candidates need to fulfill the following requirements:
1. The candidate must have bachelor and post-graduate degrees in the related discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
2. The possession of Ph.D. degree is desirable, but not mandatory.
3. The candidates must be skilled professionals with significant domain knowledge of his/her field.
4. Professor of Practice positions are not open for those candidates who belong to teaching
profession (serving or retired).
5. The minimum experience of different categories is mentioned below:
Experience should be from any of the following:
a) Reputed industries,
b) Central Govt./ State Govt. Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) organizations
c) Research and development organizations
d) Professional councils and statutory bodies
e) Overseas research industrial organizations
Honorarium: The monthly honorarium for Professor of Practice post is Rs. 1,20,000/= (Rupees One lakh twenty Thousand) consolidated only to carry out the responsibilities assigned by the department/Institute.
