About Organization : In the year 1964, a high-level group appointed by the Government of India under the Chairmanship of the late Prof. D. R. Gadgil to assess the training needs of the co-operative sector, recommended the setting up of a National Institute which would undertake the training of senior personnel in the co-operative institutions/departments, conduct fundamental/applied research and provide consultancy services, organize courses in business management for senior personnel in cooperative business organizations and train the youth on various facets of Management. Central Institute of Management for Consumer’s Business (CIMCOB) was merged with the National Cooperative College and Research Institute (NCCRI) to form the present National Institute. As a tribute to the doyen of the Cooperative Movement late Shri Vaikunth Mehta, the National Institute was named after him, as Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) in April 1967. Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India  provides  grant to VAMNICOM.

Qualification:

  • Professor
    • Master’s Degree with minimum 60% marks in relevant field in Information Technology, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management & Organisational Behaviour, General Management (PM & OR).
    • Ph. D from a reputed Indian or International University/ Institution in the concerned/ allied and relevant discipline.
    • An eminent scholar with published work of high quality (Web of Science/ Scopus indexed Q1 or Q2 with a SJR score of 0.40 and above or published in ABDC*/ABS*), actively engaged in research with evidence of high – quality published work.
    • A minimum 10 years of experience as an Associate Professor in a University of repute or Research Institution.
    • Minimum of 8 research publications in peer – reviewed journals in Scopus/Web of Science/ ABS/ ABDC rank journals.
  • Associate Professor
    • An eminent scholar with Master’s Degree with minimum 60% marks in relevant field in Information Technology, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management & Organisational Behaviour, General Management (PM & OR)
    • Ph. D from a reputed Indian or International University/ Institution in the concerned/ allied and relevant discipline.
    • Minimum 6 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor/ Deputy Director level.
    • Minimum 6 publications in Scopus / Web of Science/ ABS/ ABDC rank journals.
  • Assistant Professor
    • Master’s Degree with minimum 60% marks in relevant field in in Information Technology, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management & Organsation Behaviour, General Management(PM & OR).
    • Ph. D from a top-rated University/ Research Institution.
    • Minimum 1-3 year teaching experience.
    • Minimum 4 publications in Scopus/ Web of Science/ ABS/ ABDC rank journals.

Job Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Pay Scale:

  • Professor- Level 13 of Pay matrix (Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900) as per the 7th CPC
  • Associate Professor- Level 12 of Pay matrix (Rs. 78,800-209200) as per the 7th CPC
  • Assistant Professor- Level 11 of Pay matrix (Rs. 67,700-Rs. 2,08,700) as per the 7th CPC
