Organization Profile: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and welcomed the first batch of students into the campus in Paloura, Jammu. In the initial phases, the establishment of IIT Jammu was done under the mentorship of IIT Delhi.
In 2018, IIT Jammu shifted its primary operations to the 400 acres of lush green land in Jagti village, just outside Jammu city, provided by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for establishing its main campus. Currently, Phase 1A of the main campus, spread across 25 acres, is operational. Phase 1B and 1C are undergoing rapid construction. The main campus of the Institute is located on National Highway–44, 17 km from the Jammu Airport and 19 km from the Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
Job Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Project Titled: Development of automated flexible UT array for inspection of curved vertical surfaces of bridge piers
Qualification:
1. M.E./M.Tech. degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or relevant discipline, along with two (02) years of relevant R&D experience and GATE/NET or other prescribed national-level eligibility qualification.
2. B.E./B.Tech. degree in Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Mechanical / Instrumentation & Control or relevant field from a recognized/reputed Institute/University, along with two (02) years of relevant R&D experience and GATE/NET or other prescribed national-level eligibility qualification. Candidates possessing only a B.E./B.Tech. degree shall also be eligible to apply
3. Candidates fulfilling the above prescribed qualification, two (02) years of relevant R&D experience, and having GATE/NET or other prescribed national-level eligibility qualification may be considered for engagement as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at ₹42,000/- + HRA per month, as per applicable ANRF/DST norms.
4. Candidates possessing the above prescribed qualification without GATE/NET or other prescribed national-level eligibility qualification may be considered for Project Associate-I (PA-I) at ₹30,000/- + HRA per month. Also, Candidates possessing the prescribed qualification along with two (02) years of relevant R&D experience, but without GATE/NET or other prescribed national level eligibility qualification, may be considered for Project Associate-II (PA-II) at ₹33,000/- + HRA per month, as per applicable ANRF/DST norms.

Duration: Initially for Six Months (extendable based on performance or end of project whichever is earlier)
Pay Scale: 42000/- plus HRA as applicable.
