Organization Profile: National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, earlier known as Regional Institute of Technology was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of REC’s (Regional Engineering College) in India with the aim to generate technical graduates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region. It was among the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) established as part of the Second Five-Year Plan (1956 – 1961).
Research Position: Project Assistant
Department: Chemistry
Title of the project: Delineation of molecular mechanism of interaction between the human E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme and the substrate-bound bacterial effector Lpg2455/GobX, a U-Box E3 ubiquitin ligase, during Legionella infection.
Essential Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or other related field with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
- Candidates with Master’s degree in Life Sciences having prior research experience in the field of molecular biology (Sub-Cloning, Protein overexpression and purification) will be preferred. Candidates qualifying National Eligibility Test such as CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/GATE NET-JRF are encouraged to apply
Project Duration: 4 Years 3 Months.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- (Consolidated) per month
