Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc/B.Tech in Physics/EP/Electronics with 80% marks with 02 years minimum work experience with *NET/GATE, work experience in Raman Spectroscopy is preferred. *The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF/SRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).

Salary: Rs. 42,000/- p.m. plus HRA @27%
