Name of the Project: Research study on Enabling District Disability Rehabilitation Centres
(DDRCs) and Composite Regional Centres (CRCs)
Project Description: The project involves a research study on enabling District Disability Rehabilitation Centres and Composite Regional Centres through field-based evidence generation, comparative policy analysis, stakeholder consultations, facility observations, and analysis of service delivery gaps across selected states.
Job Description: The Research Associate (RA) will support the end-to-end implementation of the research project, with a focus on comparative policy analysis and field-based evidence generation. The position requires a motivated individual with strong skills in research design, data collection, and analysis—both qualitative and quantitative.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Economics/ Statistics/ Public Policy/ Development Studies/ Psychology with PGDRP/ Psychology with ADCGC/ Social Work (MSW) in Disability studies/ MPhil Rehabilitation Psychology/ MPhil Social Work/ BEd Special Education, or equivalent discipline from a recognised university. Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi for communication, documentation, field coordination, and reporting is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of statistical and econometric tools including: R programming, Stata, CAPI tools. Experience using CAPI applications (SurveyCTO, ODK, KoboCollect, CSPro or equivalent) Smartphone/tablet-based data collection. Digital documentation. MS Office Suite. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively across the country in rural, urban and remote locations. Ability to interact with government officials, healthcare professionals and community members. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently under strict timelines. Candidates should possess a valid Government-issued identity proof.
