- Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of experience, of which 2 years shall be post Ph.D. experience
- Professor: Minimum 10 years of experience, of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of Associate Professor

- A relevant UG/PG qualification with NET/SLET or Ph.D. in the applicable discipline
- Research guidance experience from Anna University, which will be preferred
