Organization Profile: The Indian School of Mines was formally opened on 9th December 1926, by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India to address the need for trained manpower related to mining activities in the country with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology. In 1967 it was granted the status of a deemed to be university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. Since its establishment, IIT(ISM) has undergone considerable expansion of its activities, and presently it can be considered as a total technology education institute.

Job Title:

Title of the project : Analytic and Combinatorial Web of Modularity

Tenure of Project: 3 Years(Maximum three years or till the end of project, whichever is earlier)

Job Description (in maximum of 100 words):  To carry research work for the above-mentioned project.

Essential Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks from UGC recognized University/Institute and NET/GATE qualified.

Desirable Qualification : Knowledge in Complex Analysis, Linear Algebra, Analytic Number Theory, Theory of Integer Partitions.

Fellowship:

  • Rs. 37,000/- + HRA for first two years and Rs. 42,000/- HRA for the third year. The Fellowship 42000/- INR in third year will be awarded after successful assessment.
