Essential Qualifications: Candidates must hold a first class in Matriculation and +2, along with a B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks, and an M.E/M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering or an equivalent discipline with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% from a recognised Technical Institute or University. Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category (PWD/SC/ST) get a relaxation of 0.5 CGPA or 5% at the +2 level.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling, compound flood assessment, climate change impact analysis, GIS and remote sensing applications, and spatial data processing is desirable, along with proficiency in modelling tools and strong technical writing, communication and teamwork skills.

Experience: Candidates with GATE qualification will be given priority; otherwise experience requirement is As per Norms.
