Organization Profile: After independence, the development of the rural sector was considered the primary concern of the Government of India. In 1949, with the appointment of the Radhakrishnan University Education Commission, the imparting of agricultural education through the setting up of rural universities became the focal point. Later, in 1954 an Indo-American team led by Dr. K.R. Damle, the Vice-President of ICAR, was constituted that arrived at the idea of establishing a Rural University on the land-grant pattern of USA.

Qualifications :

B.E./ B.Tech/ B.S. and M.E./ M.Tech./ M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant Branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

OR

B.E., B.Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees.

OR

Graduation of Three years’ duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience after acquiring degree of MCA.
