Organization Profile: National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of the 31 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Silchar. In 2002, it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Title: TARANG: Design of Terahertz Wireless Communications Systems for 6G
Department: Electronics and Communication Engineering
Duration: 03 years or completion of project, whichever is earlier (extension based on performance review every 12 months)
Essential Qualification:
M. Tech./M.E. degree in ECE/EE/E&I, with/without valid GATE/NET, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/GEN-EWS/ OBC-NCL category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG for SC/ ST/ PwD category
Desirable Experience:
A solid understanding of digital communication, probability theory, optimization, and wireless communications is crucial. Experience with programming languages and simulation tools such as MATLAB or Python.
Job Location: Silchar, Assam
Salary(per month): JRF- INR. 37,000/-+HRA (with and without GATE/NET) * JRF will promoted to SRF after successful completion of two years.
