Organization Profile: It was a memorable day on May 01, 2016, at Jammu, when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India, was signed, setting the ball rolling to set up an IIT campus at village Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota at Jammu. The site is located on the National Highway and is about 15 Km from the Airport. 

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Project Titled: Two-dimensional Materials towards electrochemical CO2 Reduction

Area of Specialization/ Research: Materials chemistry/Physical Chemistry/ Electrochemistry

Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences with a specialization in Electrochemistry, securing a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5/10.0 CGPA and minimum 60% mark (or 6.5/ 10.0 CGPA)
    throughout starting from Class XII.
  • Qualified in any of the following National eligibility tests/exams:
    • GATE
    • CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship).
  • National-level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT IISc, IISER,NISER etc.

Job Location: Jammu

Duration: Initially for six months and can be extended beyond depending on the ending
of the project. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Pay Scale: INR 31,000/- plus HRA as applicable
