Job Title/Designation: Assistant Professor

Qualification:

• A Ph.D. in Information Systems, Master’s in Business Administration/ M.Sc.-IT, Bachelor’s in Computer Science/ Information Technology or a closely related field.
• Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and research.
• Familiarity with current pedagogical methods and technologies in business education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A record of published research in reputable academic journals.

Experience: 0 to 3 yrs

Assistant professor: The candidate must possess a Ph.D. with minimum teaching experience.

Candidate Profile:

• GITAM (Deemed to be University) is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Information Systems. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to excellence in teaching, research, and service in the field of Information Systems.
• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses on Big Data Analytics, Emerging Technologies in Business, Artificial Intelligence in Business, Master of Business Administration, Digital Ecosystems, IT and Digital Strategy, Web and Social Media Analytics, Digitalization in Business, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Natural Language Processing for Business, Challenges of AI Technology Regulations and related areas.
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current trends and best practices in Information Systems
• The faculty is expected to publish in Scopus indexed/Web of Science journals.
• Additionally, Faculty typically reports to a department head. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field.
• Faculty may offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.
• Typically, this individual is a leader in the field and has been published.
