Title of the project: Detailed assessment of Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) Hazard and modelling lake lowering for GLOF risk reduction in the state of Himachal Pradesh for the present and future(RP510)

Qualification: 1. M.Sc/ M.Tech in Geology/Geoinformatics 2. Valid GATE score in Geology and Geophysics (GG) or Geomatics Engineering (GE) 3. Valid CSIR/ UGC NET LS/PhD/ JRF
Relevant Experience: Remote Sensing, GIS, InSAR, Glaciology, Modeling
Department: School of Earth Ocean and Climate Sciences
Location: IIT, Bhubaneshwar
Consolidated Pay: Upto Rs.37000 + HRA @20%(depending upon qualification & experience)
Tenure: of the project: 48 months (06.08.2025 to 05.08.2029). Period of Engagement in project: Initially for 1 year with possible extension depending on performance, requirement of the Institute etc.
