We are seeking a distinguished academician and researcher to join our Department of Biotechnology as a Professor. The candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, mentoring, and institutional development, and contribute to innovation and industry-academia collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in biotechnology and related fields.
- Conduct laboratory sessions and supervise student research projects and internships.
- Engage in research activities leading to publications in reputed journals and conference proceedings.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives, curriculum development, and accreditation documentation.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals, conferences and guide students in academic research projects, internships, and dissertations.
- Collaborate with industry and research organizations for joint projects and consultancy.
- Support institutional rankings and quality assurance processes (ISO, NBA, NAAC, NIRF, etc.)
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Specialization in any of the following areas: Recombinant DNA Technology, Immunotechnology, Genome Engineering, Medical Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or Nano-Biotechnology.
- Strong fundamentals in core biotechnology principles.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and research skills.
- A collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring students and conducting research.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry, with at least 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience.
- At least 6 research publications in SCI / UGC / AICTE approved journals.
- M.Tech in Biotechnology (or a closely related discipline) with Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
- Both UG and PG degrees must be from AICTE-approved institutions and obtained in full-time mode.

- Deliver engaging lectures and laboratory sessions in biotechnology and its subdomains such as medical, agricultural, industrial, environmental, bioinformatics, and nano-biotechnology.
- Apply modern pedagogical approaches including experiential and blended learning in line with accreditation standards.
- Lead high-impact research projects, attract research funding, and publish in reputed SCI / SCIE / Scopus-indexed journals.
- Guide Ph.D., postgraduate, and undergraduate students in research and academic projects.
- Foster industry collaborations, consultancy, and outreach activities.
- Contribute to departmental administration, curriculum development, and accreditation processes (ISO, NBA, NAAC, NIRF, etc.).
- Mentor faculty colleagues and contribute to institutional policy and academic growth.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Strong academic and research credentials with proven expertise in any subdomain of biotechnology
- M.Tech in Biotechnology (or a closely related discipline) with Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level in the relevant branch.
- Both UG and PG degrees must be from AICTE-approved institutions and obtained in full-time mode.
- Industrial experience preferred.
- Demonstrated record of research excellence, publications, and mentorship.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to academic innovation and student success.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
- At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI / UGC / AICTE approved journals, and 2 successful Ph.D. scholars guided as Supervisor / Co-supervisor.
