• Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Associate (PA)

Project Name: ““Permafrost destabilization induced mass wasting vulnerable zones modelling in higher Himalayan regions (Bhagirathi-Alaknanda Valley) through Snow cover-climate-terrain interactive mechanism employing Deep Learning techniques” (DMSP-ASCB/AS/2022/07)

Job Type: Temporary

Qualification:

• Minimum 55% in M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Integrated M.Tech in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Applied Geography & Geoinformatics and relevant subject. Preference may be given to the candidates with research interest & field work as per requirement of the project. Candidates who are in last semester of their M.Sc./ M.Tech degree with result awaited may also apply, however in case of selection joining will be effective only with passing of MSc/MTech degree within given joining time. Candidates with NET or GATE will be preferred.
• Desirable: Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data, meteorological data etc.), with working knowledge of SAR/hyperspectral remote sensing, R, Python, GEE, MATLAB software(s), artificial intelligence, machine learning, GPS, DGPS, UAV, LiDAR etc. will be preferred.

Pay Scale: 

1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) with M.Tech- 31,000/- +HRA= 35960/-
2. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) with MA/MSc- 25,000/- + HRA = 29960

Candidates, with M. Sc. Degree and without NET/GATE if selected, will be paid assign the post of Project Associate I @ Rs.25000/- + HRA per month. HRA shall be paid as per the University rules or Funding agency.
