Job Descriptions – Assistant Professor Positions in Smart Manufacturing
Position 01: Assistant Professor in Smart Manufacturing (Software Development & Networking) – 2 Posts
Departments: Computer Science / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Artificial Intelligence & Data Science / Interdisciplinary Programs
Location: IITs, NITs, and other premier institutes (as applicable)
Employment Type: Full-time, Academic Faculty
Areas of Specialization:
Candidates with strong programming and applied AI skills are encouraged to apply in one or more of the following domains:
• Programming & AI Frameworks: Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), FastAPI, React, AI Agents, Cybersecurity
• AR/VR for industrial and manufacturing applications (Unity, Unreal Engine, Vuforia, C#)
• IIoT communication network protocols
• Cybersecurity & Blockchain applications in Industry 4.0
• Smart Factories and Industry 4.0 solutions
Essential Qualifications (UGC norms):
• Ph.D. in relevant discipline (Engineering / Technology / Interdisciplinary Areas).
• First-class at Bachelor’s and Master’s level in the relevant branch.
• Evidence of high-quality research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
• Industrial projects, consultancy, or technology transfer in relevant domains.
• Strong expertise in software development & networking.

Position 02: Assistant Professor in Smart Manufacturing (Process Automation) – 1 Post
Departments: Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Interdisciplinary Programs
Location: IITs, NITs, and other premier institutes (as applicable)
Employment Type: Full-time, Academic Faculty
Areas of Specialization:
• Modeling & Simulation (MATLAB and related tools)
• Process Automation & Industrial Control Systems
• Condition Monitoring for Smart Factories & Industry 4.0 solutions
• CAD/CAM & CAE with modeling and analysis software tools
• Robot Programming (ROS)
• Additive Manufacturing Process Computational Modeling

• Guide research projects at all levels.
• Undertake sponsored research and consultancy assignments.
• Develop labs in Process Automation, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Condition Monitoring.
• Collaborate with industry and research bodies on Industry 4.0 technologies.
