About College: Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, an Institute of national importance, is one of the eight IITs set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Education (earlier Ministry of Human Resource Development), in 2008. Located about 40 km (NW) from Chandigarh. The Administration building has been named as Sir M. Visvesvaraya Block. The new campus of the institute spread over about 500 acres of land in the vicinity of River Sutlej and bestowed with 5 Star rating under GRIHA LD. IIT Ropar provides an exciting academic environment and is close to premier educational and research institutes such as PGIMER (Chandigarh), IISER (Mohali), IMTECH, CSIO, SCL, NIPER, Panjab University. Within its short span of existence, IIT Ropar has emerged as the leader in quality of research publications amongst the new eight IITs. It has been ranked 22nd amongst the Engineering Institutes of India, in NIRF Ranking 2024 released by MoE. Historically, Ropar city was a part of the Indus valley civilization and it provides a unique experience to the quality of life due to ever supporting nature of people of Punjab. .

Educational Qualification :

• School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering (sAIDE)- Applicants must have a strong academic background, with a B.Tech. degree in CSE, EE, ECE, Maths and computing, B.Sc./M.Sc. Computer Science, and AI and ML/Data Science be preferred and a Ph.D. in AI/ML. A proven track record of significant contributions to AI, its applications, or interdisciplinary research in AI is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate a robust portfolio of research, including publications in highimpact journals, presentations at top-tier conferences (A* and A), patents, and other scholarly achievements.
• Department of Biomedical Engineering- An engineering graduate with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or allied disciplines, and expertise in the following areas: Biomechanics (fluid, soft tissue, hard tissue), Medical Devices (electrical / electronic, imaging systems, implants), Bioinformatics or Computational Bioengineering. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an ability to conduct multidisciplinary biomedical research,
  establish clinical or industry collaborations, and have a strong desire to make an impact on the healthcare landscape of the country through innovation.
