FACULTY RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION – 2025

(As per UGC & AICTE Guidelines)

Dhanekula Institute of Engineering & Technology (DIET), Vijayawada invites applications from highly experienced and passionate academicians/industry professionals for the following faculty positions:

1. PROFESSOR EMERITUS

Eligibility:

• Eminent retired professors from reputed academic institutions with outstanding contributions in teaching and research.
• Should have been a Professor or equivalent in an AICTE/UGC recognized institute, with proven excellence in academics, patents, publications, or consulting.
• Can be appointed for a maximum of 3 years as per AICTE guidelines.

Nature of Appointment: Honorary or with honorarium

Honorarium: As per AICTE norms and mutual agreement

2. ADJUNCT FACULTY

Eligibility:

• Professionals from industry, R&D labs, government, or academic institutions with expertise in relevant domains.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably with contributions in projects, innovation, or publications.
• Can work part-time or for specific modules as per course needs.

Engagement Period: 1 semester to 3 years
Remuneration: Honorarium as per AICTE norms and based on session hours

3. VISITING FACULTY

Eligibility:

• Academicians from IITs, NITs, Central/State Universities, or reputed institutions.
• Can also be international faculty willing to contribute to the academic ecosystem of DIET.
• Visiting tenure may range from a few days to an entire semester.

Remuneration: Based on number of lectures, as per AICTE-approved rates

4. PROFESSOR OF PRACTICE (As per AICTE Guidelines – 2023)

Eligibility:

• Individuals from industry, startup ecosystem, R&D organizations, policy-making, or allied sectors with at least 15 years of demonstrated expertise.
• No formal Ph.D. is required if experience is significant and proven.
• Appointments will enhance experiential learning and industry alignment in curriculum delivery.

Engagement: Full-time or Part-time (up to 3 years)

Remuneration: As per AICTE norms or mutually decided based on expertise
