About the Institution
Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) is a constituent college of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, established by the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust in the year 2021. As a private, not-for-profit, self-financing institution, SMCH is dedicated to serving society as a centre of excellence in medical education and healthcare.
The Trust realized this vision under the leadership of Shri. A. Srinivasan, Founder & Managing Trustee of the Trust and the first Chancellor of the University. His commitment led to the establishment of SMCH as a leading institution focused on high-quality medical training and compassionate care.
Academic Excellence & Training
SMCH offers a comprehensive curriculum integrating academic learning with hands-on training. Students engage in real-time clinical exposure in wards and outpatient departments over five years, culminating in a 12-month compulsory rotating internship across multiple specialties. The program emphasizes:
