Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. The College has subsequently been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development.

Job Title: JRF and Laboratory Engineer

Funding Agency for the Project : Centre for System On-Chip (SoC) Design and Fabrication

Project Title: : Development of Indigenous / Shakti Processor based SoC Designs.

Department: Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

Essential Qualification: 

• 1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)-01:
  Essential Requirements: B. E/ B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with First Class from a recognized University/ Institute and M. E/ M. Tech/ M.S. in VLSI Design / Embedded Systems / Microprocessors any other specialization in ECE related to VLSI. Knowledge and experience in VLSI Tools will be an added advantage.
  2. Laboratory Engineer-01
  Essential Requirements: B. E/ B. Tech in ECE/EEE/ICE with First Class from a recognized University/ Institute
  Desirable: Minimum 1 year experience with the relevant field of VLSI/ASIC and having strong understanding on front-end/back-end developments in FPGA/ASIC projects, RTL, verification and physical design

Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale:

• Emoluments: Rs.35,960/- per month (consolidated) for the first 2 years and Rs.40,600/- per month (consolidated) for remaining three years for JRF. Rs.25,000/- per month (consolidated) for the first 2 years and Rs.30,000/- per month (consolidated) for remaining three years for the Lab Engineer

Duration: : 60 Months (extension based on performance review every 12 months)
