Job Title: Faculty

Employment Type: contract/visiting basis

Department:

• Faculty (Marine Engineering)
• Faculty (Nautical Science)
• Workshop Instructor (Electrical Engineering).
• Workshop Instructor (Marine Engineering).

Qualification :

FACULTY (MARINE ENGINEERING) 
Educational & other qualifications required:
Essential: a) MEO Class – I (Motor) Certificate of Competency issued by Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Government of India.
b) Sailing experience for a minimum period of six months at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention, as amended.
c) VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
d) AECS and TSTA Course Certificate or Willingness to do the course after joining.
Desirable: Six months of teaching / training experience in Maritime Training Institute(s) in India
Duties : Teaching & Training to Pre-sea Courses (B.Tech [Marine Engineering / PGDME / Post-Sea Courses (Competency, Modular & Simulator) / MMB Courses
Age: Preferably below 62 Years
Proposed Remuneration: As per IMU Norms.

FACULTY (NAUTICAL SCIENCE) 
Educational & other qualifications required:
Essential: a) Master (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency issued by Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.
b) Sailing experience for a minimum period of six months at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention, as amended.
c) VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
d) AECS and TSTA Course Certificate or Willingness to do the course after joining.
Desirable: Six months of teaching / training experience in Maritime Training Institute(s) in India
Duties : Teaching & Training to Post-Sea Courses (Competency, Modular & Simulator) / MMB Courses.
Age: Preferably below 62 Years
Proposed Remuneration: As per IMU Norms.

WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR (ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING) 
Educational & other qualifications required:
Essential Qualifications: 1. 3-year Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an institute approved by the All India Council of Technical Education
OR
PO/CPO/MCPO in Electrical Branch of Indian Navy / Coast Guard
OR
Electrician or ETO from Merchant Navy
2. VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before
joining.

Desirable: Relevant work experience for a period of 1 year
Duties :
1) Training of Inland Vessel Crew
2) To Instruct students / assist the Faculty in Workshop /Simulators etc.
3) Maintenance, augmentation and upkeep of Workshop equipment/devices
4) Project related work
5) Sailing experience
Age: Preferably below 57 years
Proposed Remuneration: As per IMU Norms

WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR (MARINE ENGINEERING) 
Educational & other qualifications required:
Essential 1. Marine Fitter from Merchant Navy
Requirements: (OR)
PO/CPO/MCPO of Marine Engineering Branch from Indian Navy / Coast Guard
(OR)
Near Coastal Voyage (NCV) class IV Engineer.
(AND)
2. VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
Desirable: Relevant work experience for a period of 06 months
Duties :
1) To Instruct students / assist the Faculty in Workshop /Simulators etc.
2) Maintenance, augmentation and upkeep of Workshop equipment/devices
3) Training of Inland Vessel Crew
4) Project related work
5) Sailing experience
Age: Preferably below 57 years.
Proposed Remuneration: As per IMU Norms.
