Project Title: Fabrication of Photonic Crystals with Plasmonic Nanoparticles for Improved Optical Sensing and Detection of Hazardous Materials
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Physics (Synthesis and self-assembly of colloidal nanoparticles, Photonic Band Structure calculations, Raman spectroscopy and related topics only)
- Knowledge in Photonic crystals (PCs), Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) and synthesis of colloidal Nanoparticles
- Experience in numerical calculations using software such as MITPhotonic Bands, COMSOL Multiphysics, analysis of SERS data, fabrication of Photonic crystals through self-assembly route
- Minimum 3 first author publications/ patents
- Experience/Knowledge in handling laser-based instruments (e.g. Raman Spectrometer, Confocal microscope, Light scattering spectrometer)
Project Duration: Position is initially for a period of one year and further extension up to end of the project will be given based on performance, mutual consent and a review by external experts
Pay Scale: ₹47,000 per month + HRA
