Applications are invited from candidates highly motivated towards machining research for a
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post under the DST- Science and Engineering Research Board
(SERB), Govt. of India sponsored project entitled, “Modeling of advanced polycrystalline materials for crystal-plasticity simulations of machining processes”.
Eligibility: M.Tech. (Materials Science/Manufacturing Technology/Mechanical Engineering/
Engineering Design/Production/Applied Mechanics) with B.Tech (Mechanical/Manufacturing
Technology/Engineering Design/Production) or equivalent degree with first class 60% aggregate or equivalent 6.5 CGPA on 10 point scale). Candidates having knowledge in finite element simulations, machining and computer programming with valid GATE scores will be preferred.
Fellowship: Rs.30, 000/- pm (for GATE qualified candidates). Rs.25, 000/- pm (for others)
Duration: 2 Years
Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidate could register for full time Ph.D. program at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University), Kattankulathur, Chennai.
