About FDP:
ServiceSetu Academics is organizing a three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) focused on Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analysis Techniques. This programme aims to equip faculty members, research scholars, and early-career academics with essential methodological tools to conduct high-quality, evidence-based research.
Day 1 – Foundations of Literature Review
- Introduction to different types of literature reviews: Narrative, Systematic, Scoping, Bibliometric.
- Fundamentals of Systematic Literature Review (SLR).
- Search strategies: Using Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Boolean operators.
- Preparing PRISMA flow diagrams for transparency and replicability.
Day 2 – Meta-Analysis Essentials
- Introduction to meta-analysis: concepts, applications, and significance.
- Hands-on with Meta-Essentials for effect size calculation, heterogeneity, and forest plots.
- Addressing challenges in data extraction and synthesis.
Day 3 – Structuring High-Quality SLR Papers
- Applying the TCCM (Theory–Context–Characteristics–Methodology) framework.
- Developing conceptual and thematic models from reviewed literature.
- Crafting impactful introductions, methodologies, and discussions.
- Research ethics: avoiding bias, duplication, and plagiarism in reviews.
