Organization Profile: Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), an autonomous organization under the Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab, is the apex body in the state for all Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Global Positioning System (GPS) and related works. It is designated as a Nodal Agency by the Govt. of Punjab for the geospatial needs of the state and also acts as the centralized hub for the geo-spatial data to all the user departments.

Essential Qualifications:
1) Post Graduate degree in Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Geospatial Technology (or related subjects of geospatial domain only)
or
2) Post Graduate degree in Computer Science & Engineering/ Physics/ M.Sc. (Geography) along with postgraduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS.
3) In all cases, the candidate should be a mandatorily science/ engineering graduate.
Desirable Qualification:
1) Proficiency in GIS and Image Processing Software’s
2) Experience in microwave/ hyperspectral remote sensing as evident from thesis/ publications/ Projects
3) Knowledge of Google Earth Engine for analysis of geospatial data.
4) Good written and oral communication skills

4) In all cases, the candidate should be a mandatorily science/ engineering graduate.
