In 1956, the German Government offered technical assistance for establishing an institute of higher education in engineering in India. The first Indo-German agreement in Bonn, West Germany for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras was signed in 1959.

Job Title Junior Research Fellow

Title of the Project: â€œExperiments on analysis of fixed offshore wind turbines under parked condition

Funding Agency: DSTX


  • B Tech / BE in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace or M.Tech/ME/MS in Civil/ Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering. with Valid GATE / UGC-NET. 
  • Masters level preferred. Any other relevant discipline with 65% or 7.0 CGPA and above.

Experience: Exposure to Experimental or Numerical Modelling / Computer Programming or both is preferred. Additional Working Experience in Relevant Discipline of Ocean / Coastal Engineering will be preferred. Knowledge of Hydrodynamics will also be considered.

Tenure of the Project: Initially for a period of Six months.
