Organization Profile: The birth of Indian Maritime University is a long-cherished dream of the maritime community of India. The Indian Maritime University came into being through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) on 14th November 2008 as a Central University and is poised to play a key role in the development of a trained human resource for the maritime sector. 14th November is celebrated as ‘IMU Day’ every year.
Job Title: Academic Consultant
Employment Type: Contract – Initially for a period up to 6 months
Qualification :
- Any Post Graduate with good command over English
Preferable: Ph.D. Degree
- Experience: 10 years in the middle level management out of which 5 years should be in the level 10 and above in the Central service or its equivalent in the State service.
OR - Comparable experience in the Public/Private Sector preferably in educational/training Institutes.
- Retired Officers from Higher Educational Institutions like Central/State Universities, IIT, IIM or other reputed Universities/Government Services may also apply.
Skills Required:
i. Correspondence with higher educational bodies such as UGC, AICTE etc.
ii. Correspondence in English independently.
iii. Computer – Savvy and well versed with ICT.
iv. Lead a team and execute the instructions/plan through the staff.

Scale of Pay: Commensurate with qualification and experience as per IMU norms
