Job Title/Designation: Career Counsellor
Role Purpose:
The Career Counsellor shall be a master’s degree in Psychology / Human Resources, specialization .in Career Counselling and has expertise in career development theory, counselling techniques, administration and interpretation of assessments, and career information resources. Career counsellor work with Graduate arid Postgraduate students of the University who have questions about different careers, educational paths, help to pick their major specializations and decide what they want to do when they graduate. Minimum 2 years of experience in Graduate students’ career counselling is a must and the age of the counsellor preferred shall not exceed 30 years.
The Job involves the following activities by a Career Counsellor:
- Administering personality and career development tests to students
- Must have knowledge of Thomas Assessment.
- Provide career counselling and career development sessions for graduates and alumni.
- Develop career development programs that will help students in exploring and planning career options.
- Work with students on their needs for career development.
- Conduct training, workshops, lectures, presentations, and other events to develop career planning and employability skills for students.
- Develop positive working relationships with faculty, administration, and co-workers to achieve desired goals.
- Coordinate with academic advisors to help students in making career choices based on their academic majors.
- Research and analyze current employment trends in various industries / Government organizations.
- Execute outreach programs to promote career services among students.
- Any other activities are necessary for Students Development.
