Organization Profile: Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, referred to as CTR & TI, Ranchi was established in 1964 under the aegis of Central Silk Board (http://csb.gov.in) to conduct R & D to cater to the needs of Tasar silk Industry (both tropical and temperate), a tribal based rural enterprise in the country. With its network of Six Regional stations (RSRS), three P4-TBS and three Research Extension Centres (REC), one Raw Material Bank at Chaibasa, the Institute provides the state-of-the-art technological know-how to the command states, both under tropical and temperate Tasar sector.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences or allied subjects, (OR)
- B.Tech or M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Chemical engineering or related field. Minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA in the preceding degree.
Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience in membrane technology, separation and purification techniques, removal of toxic metals from industrial effluents, and various analytical tools such as SEM, UV spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, BOD & COD analyzer, TGA, DSC, XRD, etc. will be given preference.
Project Duration: Three Years (upto 07.03.2024)
Emoluments:
(i) Rs 31000/- (for first & second years), 35,000/- (for 3rd Year) + HRA (as applicable) to Scholar who selected through
(a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (with valid GATE Score) (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRD0, MHRD, ICAh, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
(ii) Rs 25000/-(for first 2 years), Rs.28000/- (for 3rd Year) + HRA (as applicable) for others who do not fall under (i) above
