Job Title: Laboratory Associate
Position Title: Laboratory Associates in Chemical Engineering (2 positions), Mechanical Engineering (2 positions), and Computer Science and Engineering (2 positions)
Reporting to: Manager, Laboratories
School: School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University
Role Summary:
Responsible for taking care of laboratories, equipment, software configuration, and consumables. He/she will manage various functions of laboratories and support in conducting lab sessions as per the instructions of the faculty members.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the setup for laboratory experiments in advance.
- Coordinate with Manager, Laboratories in advance regarding requirement of materials/consumables required for lab practical.
- Conduct Lab sessions as per the instructions of faculty members and assist students in performing lab experiments / development.
- Assist faculty for testing / consultancy work / research Projects etc.
- Helping students in their projects.
- Maintain all laboratory records and stock registers.
- Any work related to development of laboratory (Procurement, fabrication, repairing etc.)
- Assist in purchase & account related work
- Maintain and clean equipment and work area.
- Academic work assigned by faculty including compilation of attendance, demonstration of projects, and course related activities
- Comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
- Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
- Collect and prepare research and information needed for studies.
- Classify and label materials and consumables used in the laboratories.
- Assistance in examination duties.
- Undertake basic administrative tasks provided by the school.

Qualification:
